Joseph Moniz

Joseph Moniz, 85, of Seekonk, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen R. (Brown) Moniz to whom he would have been married for 55 years in August.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antone and Helen (Benson) Moniz. Joe had worked for Verizon before he retired. He also was an Army veteran. Joe was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church and he also served as a lector and a Eucharistic Minister. He was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed golfing. Joe and Kathy always enjoyed traveling together.

Joe is survived by his wife Kathy.

His funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 9:30 AM in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
