Joseph M. Anthony, 69, of Rumford, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Barilla) Anthony for 37 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Joan (Marshall) Anthony and the late William Anthony. Joe was a Master Plumber for Local 51 before he retired 8 years ago. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his wife and mother he leaves three sons, Joseph Anthony, Greg Anthony and Nicholas Anthony, his bonus daughter, Christine Quattrocchi. Four brothers, William Anthony (Gretchen), Stephen Anthony (Norma), Paul Anthony (Nancy) and Michael Anthony (Danielle). He was the proud Papa to three grandchildren, Susan, Greg, Jr. and Talia. Joe was Uncle Joe to several nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly
His funeral will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be private. Calling hours Sunday 3-6 PM.
