John William Robbins, a resident of Seekonk for 57 years, passed away on October 20, 2025. A graduate of Bourne High School, John spent 35 years of his career through retirement in charge of purchasing at precious metals company Leach & Garner Co. in Attleboro. Those who knew him appreciated John's humor, loyalty, and dedication and he was adored by his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
John was an avid sports fan who golfed, played in softball leagues and won multiple Attleboro Tennis tournaments. He also liked watching football and golf, and playing slots. John enjoyed animals and nature and was an exemplary gardener, dedicating many hours to maintaining a beautiful yard and fish pond. He was a member of Attleboro Elks Lodge #1014.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Robbins of Seekonk and his two daughters, Deborah Robbins Millman and her husband, Barry, of Florida and Karen Robbins of Attleboro; he is also survived by two of his siblings, Kathy Palomba of Florida and Dennis Robbins of Buzzards Bay. John was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Bessie Robbins and six siblings.
Visitation will be at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9 - 11 am, followed by a funeral home service. Burial will take place immediately after at the Seekonk Cemetery, Newman Avenue, Seekonk.
