John F. Butler, Sr., 67, of Riverside passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Sunday December 12, 2021 with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of Kathleen (Keating) Butler for 33 years.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Hammill) Butler.

In addition to his wife Kathy, John is survived by his children: John F. Butler, Jr. and his wife Alison, Erin K. Butler, Andrew R. H. Butler; his grandchildren: Maeve M. Butler, John "Jack" F. Butler, III, Rose C. Butler; and many other family members and friends.

John was pre-deceased by his parents.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, Monday December 20, 2021 at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Juniper Hill Cemetery, Sherri Avenue, Bristol, RI. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday December 19, 2021 at Sansone Funeral Home from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to Knights of Columbus Charities.
