Posted

I am pleased to announce that John Araujo of Rehoboth has been appointed the inaugural director of CCRI’s One-Stop Student Services (formerly the Office of Enrollment Services), effective immediately.

In his new capacity as Director of One-Stop Student Services, John will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of student support services at CCRI. Our One-Stop Student Services will serve as the primary point of contact for enrollment-related services, and under John's leadership, we are embarking on a transformative journey to offer students a more convenient, modern, and inclusive experience. Reporting to the Dean of Enrollment Management, Systems, and Innovation, John will spearhead efforts to enhance our service to students and their families by streamlining the process of obtaining answers to essential questions and completing common administrative transactions, all within one central campus location.

With 18 years of service to CCRI, John brings an unparalleled understanding of student services to this new role. He began his career at CCRI in 2005 as an Enrollment Services Representatives, and has held multiple positions of increasing leadership, including Admissions Officer, Senior Admissions Officer, Assistant Director of Admissions, Associate Director of Admissions, Director of Concurrent Enrollment and CTE Initiatives, and most recently as Associate Director of Enrollment Services, where he has embodied a one-stop philosophy to student services. In addition, John has extensive experience supporting students in the classroom, serving as an Adjunct Faculty for Business Administration and Library.

John has served in a leadership capacity for the CCRI Professional Staff Association for many years, as well as multiple state, regional, and national professional associations, including the Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers, the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling, among others.

Outside of CCRI, John is equally committed to supporting his community, serving as a youth baseball coach for the Pawtucket Boys & Girls Club and as a member of the Portuguese American Citizens Committee of Rhode Island.

As CCRI transitions to this innovative One-Stop model, John's wealth of experience and dedication to our students make him the perfect candidate to lead this endeavor. I am deeply appreciative of his unwavering commitment to our students and the college.

Please join me in extending your heartfelt congratulations to John in his new and exciting role.

Sincerely,

Amy Kacerik
Associate Vice President, Student Affairs
