Frank S. Oliver

Frank S. Oliver, 97, of Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, died peacefully on April 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Florence E. (Fratus) Oliver.

Born in East Providence, a son of the late Virgil and Sarah (Costa) Oliver, he was a life-long resident of East Providence.

Mr. Oliver was a meat cutter for the Lindsay’s Market for several years before retiring.

Frank was a communicant of St. Brendan Church since 1955. He enjoyed cars and spending time with family.

Mr. Oliver was a United States Marine Veteran serving during WWII in Okinawa.

Besides his wife of seventy years, he is survived by his children, Leslie Czyzewicz of Pawtucket, Brian Oliver of Riverside and Joan Henderson of Riverside; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother, Anthony Oliver of Seekonk. He was the brother of the late Virgil Oliver and Sarah Maciel.

His Funeral will be held on Friday April 21, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
