Born on July 15, 1942, in Providence, RI, Frank's life journey of 81 years was marked by devotion to his family, unwavering work ethic, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him.

Frank was the beloved husband of Cathleen (Ralph) Duarte, with whom he shared over 37 years of loving marriage. Frank was born in Providence, the son of the late Anthony and Jane (Malay) Duarte. Frank was a man whose life was marked by a profound dedication to his loved ones, his work and his community.

Frank inherited a legacy of strength and compassion, which he carried forward in every aspect of his life. He was a cherished brother to Beverly Fernandes and her fiancé Ricardo "Jimmy," and a loving half-brother to Toni Jean Duarte. Though he was preceded in death by his siblings Shirley Amaral, Judy Duarte, and his half-brother Anthony Duarte, their memories remained a treasured part of his life.

A proud and devoted father, Frank's legacy lives on through his children. He is survived by his sons David Duarte and his fiancée Lori Manfredo, and Albert Musard; his daughters Barbara Duarte, Lori Duarte, Cathie Cabral and her spouse Eddie, and Angela Raposo and her spouse Marco. The memory of his late son, Frank S. Duarte, Jr., continues to be honored by the family. Frank's role as a grandfather to 15 and a great-grandfather to 17 brought him immeasurable joy and happiness.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frank's professional life was marked by the founding of Duarte Asphalt Paving in 1960, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft. His career began before 1960, with his involvement in various companies and his proud contribution to the building of the hurricane barrier in Providence. Working side by side with his sons, the late Frankie Duarte, Jr., and David Duarte, he exemplified what it meant to be a dedicated, hardworking individual who persevered through any challenge, motivated by the desire to provide for his family.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Frank was a man of many interests. He enjoyed the sport of boxing, the thrills of NASCAR, and cherished the role of travelling companion to his wife, Cathy. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, as he was a devout Catholic who loved God deeply. Frank's loving and kind nature was the embodiment of his faith-filled life.

Those who knew Frank will remember him for his warm and generous heart. He leaves behind his beautiful dog Sadie, who shared his love for going for rides, shopping, and visiting the beach. Sadie, along with all who loved Frank, will miss him dearly. Frank also leaves behind a great friend, Glen Miller, who he considered like a son, and his best friend, Frank Hoague, who was like family.

Frank was a man who lived his values every day, touching the lives of many with his loving and kind presence. His faith-filled life was an inspiration to all, and his memory will continue to be a beacon of love and strength for his family and friends.
