Frank was born in Swanton, VT on August 09, 1939, to the late Francis and Katherine Hoague. He was preceded in death by brothers James Hoague, Lawrence Hoague and sisters Judy Marcotrigano, Eileen Brown and Bernadette Barratt .
Frank was also preceded in death by his grandson Jeffrey Hoague. Frank was a millwright at Mason Mfg. Company in East Providence for many years where he met his lifelong friend Joe Cruz. Around Riverside, he was the go-to man if ever something needed to be fixed, a tool borrowed, or a boat motor or small engine started. If it was broken, Frank could fix it, if it was torn, Frank could sew it. He was always willing to offer help to anyone in need.
His sense of humor was legendary, as were his practical jokes and his pool playing skills. “Three Bank Frank” loved playing pool in his garage with his friends Paul, Duane, and Joe. Tuesday, a night when more time was spent sharing laughs, stories, food and drinks than playing pool.
Frank also loved quahogging with his family and friends. This often led to the creation of his famous clamcakes and chowder, anyone who was lucky enough to eat them would tell you they were the best ever made. His dear friend Bruce could tell a story or two about a mishap with a motor or a trick that was played on him by Frank.
He was a mentor to everyone but especially to his devoted nephew David Hoague, David Duarte and the late Frank Duarte. Everyone who was lucky enough to know him learned something from Frank or at least came away with a funny joke or story.
Frank was above all a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
