Elsie (Viera) Ruggiero, 91, of Seekonk, MA passed away at home on Sunday, May 24, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Joseph J. Ruggiero for 71 years. A lifelong Seekonk resident, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Adeline (Costa) Viera.
In addition to her husband, she was the loving mother of Joanne R. Gordon (Lars) of Smithfield, VA, Sandra L. Ruggiero of Warwick, RI, Gail M. Allenson (David) of West Paris, ME, Janet L. Roy (Jim) of Seekonk, MA and Michael J. Ruggiero (Vanessa) of Moultonboro, NH; cherished grandmother of Leif Gordon (Kelley), Kristin McCauley (Kevin), Col. Andrew Gordon, USAF (Kim), Adam Croft, Sarah Croft (Derek), Lisa Roy (Patrick), John Roy (Taylor) and six great grandchildren; caring sister of Thomas Viera (Roxann) and the late Mary, Marion Jr, Joseph, Anthony, James and Robert Viera, Adeline Philips and Dorothy Ferreira and Angie Curry. Elsie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
