Edward A. "Bud" Bloom

Edward A. "Bud" Bloom, 90, peacefully passed into the hands of the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in North Providence. He was born in Newport, RI and was a long-time resident of East Providence. He was the loving husband of Joan Bloom for 57 years.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Deborah Ward of Newport, sons Eric Bloom of Shrewsbury, Mass., Carl Bloom and his husband Abran of Denver, Colorado and Mark Bloom of East Providence. He was the brother of Marion Outlaw of Middletown. He leaves six grandchildren and three great grandsons. He is predeceased by sons Edward Bloom, Jr and William Bloom.

His funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, for those who so desire, donations in his memory may be made to Bradley Hospital, 1011 Veterans Memorial Pkwy., Riverside, RI 02915.
