East Providence Recognizes the EPHS Senior Class

Posted

East Providence, RI- East Providence School Committee members Jessica Beauchaine and Joel Monteiro spearheaded an effort to honor the class of 2020. Recognizing that this has been a difficult year for the district’s senior class, Mrs. Beauchaine and Mr. Monteiro approached school and district leadership with an idea to place signs on the lawns of the 300 plus members of the senior class. Delia Nelson, graphics arts teacher at the Career and Technology Center, designed the signs.

Over thirty teachers, administrators and school committee members volunteered to distribute the signs throughout the city. Early Wednesday morning staff picked up the signs and spread out across the city to blanket the lawns of the class of 2020 with signs to show their support for the class. Senior class members and their families woke up to the bright red signs that stated, “We Love our 2020 Townie Seniors” #Towniestrong. The East Providence school community holds the senior class in our hearts.
