Girl Scouts from East Providence Troop 417 recently had a awesome weekend unplugged (mostly) at Camp Hoffman! While staying at New Old House, the Girl Scouts went on multiple hikes around camp and played lots of games. The girls also spent time on their Wellness Badges, but practicing self-care including doing face masks, and mindfulness by bedazzling small items from home, singing, knitting, and reading.
During the weekend, the Girl Scouts viewed the sky over Larkin Pond from sunrise, to sunset, to late night star gazing, all to complete steps towards their Night Owl/Sky badges. They ended the weekend with a breakfast buffet that showcased all the ways to use leftovers to make new sides to enjoy. Before leaving, Troop 417 was already planning their next weekend at New Old House.
