Domenic A. Rucco, Jr.

Domenic A. Rucco, Jr., age 43, of Rehoboth, MA, sadly passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, surrounded by his four loving sisters, Deborah Mellor, Allison Dickson, Donna Rathbun, and Dyanna Rucco. In addition to his sisters, Dom is survived by his two nieces, Chelsea Accetta and Hailey Robinson, a nephew, Jake Rathbun, and four great nieces and nephews, Carter, Matty, Derek and Camden Accetta.

Dom was the son of the late Domenic and Jerilyn (Silva) Rucco, who both passed away in 2022, and he was the grandson of the late Anthony and Anna (Liberatore) Rucco and Manuel and Georgine (Jones) Silva.

Dom enjoyed working alongside his father within the family’s construction business, DAR Construction Services of Rehoboth, MA, where Dom worked for most of his career. He was a talented equipment operator who took pride in his work. He was also a loving and gentle soul with a big heart. His sisters commonly referred to him as a big teddy bear.

Dom graduated from Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and had a passion for mixing music, gaming, and playing basketball with his childhood friends and father at their Thursday night rec league. He enjoyed caring for animals, especially his cat Lily. He also enjoyed supporting his sister Dyanna’s equestrian career. He will be missed terribly.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, RI 02911, with a prayer service immediately following at 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, Saturday August 24, 2024. The family will be gathering at 9:45 am in the parking lot across the street from the main gate of the cemetery and then the cars will process into the cemetery at 10am for the committal service. www.maceroni.com
