The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District is proud to recognize 50 Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School students who have earned College Board AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional performance on Advanced Placement (AP) Exams.
The students earned recognition as AP Scholars, AP Scholars with Honor, or AP Scholars with Distinction, demonstrating not only strong academic achievement, but also the dedication, perseverance, and willingness to challenge themselves that define a future-ready learner in Dighton-Rehoboth.
“Having 50 students earn AP Scholar recognition is another powerful example of the student achievement we are seeing at DRRHS,” said Superintendent Bill Runey. “Our educators empower students to take on rigorous opportunities, while our expanding academic, Early College, CTE, and extracurricular offerings help us deliver on our commitment to having something for everyone. These students make all of us proud to say #WeAreDR.”
This recognition reflects the district’s commitment to its DRiving Toward 2030 Strategic Plan, which centers on empowering educators, igniting curiosity in students, and preparing every learner for the future.
“These students have distinguished themselves by choosing to take on some of the most rigorous academic opportunities we offer and then excelling at the highest level,” said DRRHS Principal Dustin Demers. “We are incredibly proud of their achievement, and equally proud of the teachers who challenge, support, and inspire our students every day. Fifty AP Scholars is a tremendous accomplishment for our students and for the entire DRRHS community.”
Advanced Placement courses give students the opportunity to engage in rigorous, college-level coursework while still in high school, representing one of the many ways DRRHS provides opportunities for students to challenge themselves, explore their interests, and prepare for life beyond graduation. Through Early College courses, Career & Technical Education pathways, and many other future-ready learning opportunities, students can earn college credit, explore high-demand careers, develop hands-on skills, and connect classroom learning to their goals for life after graduation. The AP Scholars recognized represent a range of academic interests and experiences, yet share a common commitment to excellence and growth.
The Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District congratulates all 50 AP Scholars and recognizes the teachers, families, and school community members who helped support their success. Their achievement is a reminder of what is possible when students are encouraged to ignite their curiosity, embrace challenge, and take ownership of their future, which is the work at the heart of DRiving Toward 2030.
