A Note of Introduction

Posted

Dear Rehoboth Residents,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself as the new Public Health Nurse for the town of Rehoboth. I have been in the nursing profession for 34 years and have cared for individuals and families from birth to death. My experience in the hospital setting includes medical surgical and intensive care nursing, pediatric nursing and labor and delivery nursing. When I finished my graduate work in Community Health, I began teaching as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Bristol Community College. After a period of about 10 years, I began working with graduated nurses in the role of Clinical Educator for a skilled nursing facility in Plymouth Ma. Most recently I was Director of Nursing for another skilled nursing facility here in our community. You may also have met me at Anawan Pharmacy’s COVID vaccination clinic over the past year or so.

Stephanie Reis RN BSN will be with us as a part time nurse. Her expertise is in medical surgical nursing, VNA and home care nursing and in community health nursing.

Our goal is to provide comprehensive and expert nursing to the Rehoboth community. As the pandemic guideline permit, we will re-start wellness clinics at the Senior Center at the Francis Farms location. And over the next few months we will expand our care to young adults, young families and to adult and older adult populations. As this new full-time role unfolds and grows, our goal is to assess what our community needs and wants, and develop programs to provide expert knowledge in these areas. So, over the course of the Spring and Summer keep an eye out for programs that interest you!
Looking forward to meeting you all,
Stay safe and well,

Sincerely,
Geraldine and Stephanie
