Celebrate Seekonk Day

September 18th 11:00 - 4:00 FREE at the Seekonk Library

Posted

In 1636, Samuel Newman came to this area with his pilgrims from Plymouth and named it Seaconcke. Who knew what would happen to this village in the New World.

We know, it’s become a fantastic place to live and raise a family. We are so proud of our town that we’re Celebrating Seekonk with its own Day! We’ve got a Bill Harley performance, Native American performance, Black Goose author, award winning banjo player, poetry reading, shadow puppets for preschoolers, Kindness Rock painting, Owl Pellet Discovery, Hip Hop Exercise for seniors, family and adult nature walks at Gammino Pond, Bubbles in the Meadows, and food offerings from RED’S and D’sLectables,. And don’t miss the gallery art show featuring local professional and student artwork.

The majority of activities will be outside to ensure public SAFETY.
Come experience the fun for all ages as well as the Arts, Culture and History of Seekonk! And remember, Honk if you Love The Konk!
