So far, only two candidates have taken out nomination papers for the April 7 annual town election. They are Aaron Morse, a member of the Dighton-Rehoboth School Committee and Katie Eyer, a member of the Water Commission.
The Town Clerk’s office provided a complete list of open offices. The deadline to return papers is February 14.
Moderator (one year term) Bill Cute - Incumbent.
Board of Selectmen (two positions for 3 years) Lenny Mills and Rob Johnson - incumbents. Assessor (one for 3 years) Riccardo Binetti - incumbent.
School Committee (two positions for 3 years) Aaron Morse – incumbent. The other incumbent is Richard Barrett, who is not running for re-election.
Housing Authority (one for five years) Paul Jacques - Incumbent.
Planning Board (one for 5 years) Patrick Landry - Incumbent.
Park Commission (one for 5 years) Lisa Halajko – appointed until the town election, she will be running through Caucus for her Park Commission elected term.
Constable (one position for 3 years) Gary Zimmer-incumbent.
Water Commissioner (two positions for 3 years) Katie Eyer and Tish Vadnais – both incumbents.
The Republican and Democratic Town Committees will be holding their caucuses later this month.
