The Rehoboth Ambulance Committee is hoping to finalize a new service contract with the Town.
The committee posted a message on their Facebook page on Friday.
“There have been some questions about the ambulance subscription for 2025. At the moment, the Town and the Ambulance are still finalizing the contract for service. Because that contract has not been signed, we have not sent out the subscription information for 2025. Once the contract is finalized between the Town and the Ambulance we will send out the 2025 Ambulance Subscription.
If you subscribed in 2024 we will continue to honor that subscription until we announce the 2025 subscription drive.”
Last October, the Board of Selectmen announced they were close to finalizing a contract with the Ambulance Committee.
The town was awarded Bristol County ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds to purchase a new ambulance. The Rehoboth Ambulance Committee will have access to the vehicle as soon as the contract is signed.
“This allows them to channel money into personnel and training and things like that,” Chairman Skip Vadnais noted. “It gives them some breathing room.”
