404: Summer Programs Not Found
…
200: September Events Back Online

Unfortunately, some of our summer programs for tweens and teens crashed unexpectedly, but this September it’s time for “System Update: Teen Programs Restored!”

Okay, enough silly computer puns—the point is, this September we’re reviving two of the exciting programs that were canceled during the summer. More details will be coming soon, so be sure to check out our website, sign up for the Teen email newsletter, and look out for the September edition of the Reporter for the latest information!

Teen Advisory Board
Thursday, September 3 at 3:30 PM
**Please note: Meetings are for TAB members only. To join, visit seekonkpl.org/teens and download the TAB application. Email the finished application to teens@seekonkpl.org or turn it in at the Research Help Desk in the library.

Your opinion matters! If you’re in grade 6 through 12, then you have a chance to make a difference at your library by joining the Teen Advisory Board (TAB). During the school year, we will meet once a month at 3:30 PM to share ideas about upcoming programs and discuss how we can make the most out of the library’s services for tweens and teens. This is an opportunity to practice leadership, collaboration, and civic engagement and to take an active role in shaping the library’s impact on your community. Becoming a member of the board requires a commitment to attend meetings regularly.

For more information, call Adult Services at the library at (508) 336-8230 or email teens@seekonkpl.org.

Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit
Thursday, September 17 at 3:00 PM
Do you find yourself arguing that hippogriffs are cooler than dragons? Do you correct your friends when they mistake the Triwizard Tournament for the Quidditch Cup? Are you pretty sure you could have discovered the gillyweed solution if only you’d had the right book? If any of this sounds like more than Gobbledegook (Griphook’s native language, of course) to you, then come to Seekonk Public Library for the 4rd Annual Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit event for tweens and teens! We’ll split up into four teams to play the official Trivial Pursuit: World of Harry Potter Ultimate Edition and test our knowledge of all eight movies (sorry, it’s NOT based on the books!). Snacks will be provided.

This event is free and open to tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12. Please register online at www.seekonkpl.org/events.

For more information, call Adult Services at the library at (508) 336-8230 or email teens@seekonkpl.org.

(Post-)End of Summer Escape Room Party for Tweens & Teens

In pairs or small groups, you’ll work together to solve your choice of mini-escape room puzzles from BreakoutEDU. Themes will range from the American Revolution, to Julius Caesar, botany, and more. Wrap up your summer at the library with a little code cracking, puzzle solving, and--of course--snacks and prizes!

This event is free and open to tweens and teens in grades 6 through 12. Please register online at www.seekonkpl.org/events.
