It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Glenda Sousa, who passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 74.

Glenda was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her warmth, her strong spirit, and for the steady love she gave to those she held dear. She grew up in Pawtucket, RI and worked at Texas Instruments for 25 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She enjoyed car shows, trips to the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James Sousa, her son Daniel Sousa and his wife Jennifer Sousa, their children Alexandra, William and John Sousa. Her daughter Amy Sousa and her son Adeyn Matos. She also leaves behind her sisters Terrie Carr, Susan Gray, Debbie Vargas and Ginny Wilson, and her brother Mike Carr; and was preceded in death by her sister Joanne Lounge, and her parents Joseph and Glenna Carr.

A service will be held at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI at a later date.

Glenda will be missed beyond words and loved always.
