From the Seekonk Town Clerk’s Office

Posted

March has been a very busy for the Town Clerk’s Office processing census forms, dog licenses, vote by mail and absentee applications, and preparing for the Annual Town Election.

The 2026 Rabies Clinic was a great success! A special thank you to our Animal Control Officers, Andrea Russo, Jessica Blake and Ashley Lawrence, Dr. Truesdale of Central Avenue Veterinary Hospital and Seekonk Save-a-Pet volunteers for processing all the rabies certificates, and the Seekonk Fire Department for their help setting up for the event and letting us use their facility. We would also like to thank Rehoboth Animal Control Officer Rob Johnson and Rehoboth Town Clerk’s Office for participating in the clinic again this year!

ANNUAL TOWN CENSUS

Thank you for all those who have returned their 2026 Town Census/Street Listing form. To date, we have received and processed 5,414 households. There are 1,510 census forms that still need to be returned (Precinct 1=356; Precinct 2=376; Precinct 3=425 and Precinct 4=353).  If you have not returned yours yet, please do so as soon as possible. Please be sure to update and/or make any changes to the form, sign, and return it to our office by mail, in-person, or by leaving it in the drop box located at the front entrance of Town Hall.

DOG LICENSING - DOG TAGS EXPIRED MARCH 31st

Thank you for all those who applied for their dog license before the March 31st deadline. To date, we have processed 847 dog license applications.

All dog licensing now requires online registration. Payments can still be made in-person or by mail, but the licensing process requires an online registration. If you have any difficulty completing your application online, please call us and we are happy to walk you through the process over the phone OR you can stop by our office with your valid rabies certificate and valid email address, and we will assist you at our kiosk station. Failure to comply will result in issuance of MGL violation & fine.  If your license remains delinquent after May 31st, a late fee of $25 per dog will also apply.
