TOWN CLERK UPDATES AND REMINDERS
Shandra and I attended the Massachusetts Town Clerk’s Association (MTCA) Summer Conference in Plymouth from June 3-5, 2026. The conference focused on the latest election information, election law updates, and election security. The knowledge and training we received will help us better prepare for the upcoming elections and continue providing the highest level of service to our residents.
Dog Licenses and Town Census
Dog licenses expired March 31st. Effective June 1, a $25 late fee has been added to all license renewals.
In accordance with Massachusetts Laws, Chapter 140 Section 137, all dogs 6 months or older must be licensed annually and owners must provide proof of a current rabies vaccination. Failure to comply may result in a by-law citation fee.
All dog license applications and renewals require online registration. Payments can be made in-person or by mail, but the registration process must be completed online.
If you have difficulty completing your online registration, please call our office and we are happy to walk you through the process over the phone OR you can stop by our office with your valid rabies certificate and valid email address, and we will assist you at our kiosk station.
