CALL FOR ARTISTS- Community art show and sale celebrating the Woonasquatucket River Watershed
Providence - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! “Vibrant Life in the Woonasquatucket River Watershed,” an art exhibit and sale, will be held during November 2022 by the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) in collaboration with Sprout CoWorking.
Vibrant Life in the Woonasquatucket River Watershed celebrates the Woonasquatucket River, and the community of artists who have been an integral part of our work. This exhibit and sale will also raise awareness of and funds for the WRWC’s programs and activities.
WRWC Director of Projects Lisa Aurecchia said, “The WRWC has a deep appreciation for the artists, students, and volunteers who have created beautiful works of art along the river and in its watershed. We are so excited to see and share work from old friends, new friends, and those who we have yet to meet.”
The WRWC invites work that has been shaped by the Woonasquatucket River and its connected waterways. All artists are encouraged to apply for inclusion in this show. All mediums are welcome, including drawings, paintings, photographs, sculptures, textiles, and more. If you are interested in showcasing your work at our event, please fill out the submission form on our website: wrwc.org/art-show-2022. The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2022.
Art will be juried by a review board consisting of WRWC staff members and friends from the community. We will announce the artwork that has been selected for the art sale on September 15th.
