Taunton, MA, June 26, 2026 — Bristol County Savings Bank’s Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF) awarded grants totaling $50,000 to six non-profit organizations in the Taunton/Attleboro region during a ceremony held recently at White’s of Westport in Westport, Massachusetts. All total, including the SouthCoast and greater Providence, Rhode Island regions, the Foundation donated $322,400 to 40 charitable organizations. Since the Foundation was formed in 1996, more than $37 million has been committed to hundreds of different non-profits in the communities the Bank serves. In 2025, the Foundation awarded $2.9 million to various 501(c)(3) organizations.

The local organizations that received grants from the Foundation are as follows:

Taunton/Attleboro Community, $50,000 – Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts ($10,000), Pave Your Path ($7,500) Reach Out and Read ($5,000), SAFE Coalition ($7,500), The Arc of Bristol County ($10,000) and Triumph ($10,000).

John Silva, President of the Foundation and President & CEO of Bristol County Savings Bank, awarded the grants to the organizations. Also participating in the event were representatives from the BCSCF board and the Bank’s area branches. “As a community bank, we embrace a corporate culture of ‘putting people first’ in everything we do and what better example of that than supporting the good work of all the non-profits we recognized today,” said Silva. “The initiatives we are facilitating with these grants will help local organizations and the residents they serve in a myriad of ways which will continue to strengthen the overall fabric of our local community.”

Bristol County Savings Bank is an active supporter in the communities in which it serves. The Foundation was established in 1996 as part of the Bank’s 150th Anniversary celebration. Its purpose is to fund needs that contribute to the economic and the social well-being of the people and institutions located in the greater Taunton/Attleboro region, the greater New Bedford/Dartmouth region, the greater Fall River region and greater Providence, Rhode Island region, with particular emphasis in the areas of education and literacy, economic development and housing for the low- to moderate-income population.
