Velta L. DiPietro

Velta L. DiPietro, 70, of Seekonk, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her home. She was the wife of Ronald J. DiPietro.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Louise (Toms) Hicks. Mrs. Dipietro was a secretary at Cardis Furniture before she retired. Prior to that she worked for the Backlund and Tower Lemos Insurance Companies and also worked in the banking industry. She also was an exercise instructor for several years. She was a 1970 graduate of Seekonk High School and a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Aaron J. DiPietro and Michael A. DiPietro, nine grandchildren, Julia, Kailey, Aaron, Jr., Mason, Anthony, Hayden, Madison, Benjamin and Adam, one great-granddaughter, Rosalie and one brother, Richard Hicks. She was the sister of the late Steven Hicks. The family would like to thank Dorinne Titone for her care and special attention that she gave to Velta.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Springvale Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-7.
