Seekonk Resident Honored by LeadingAge Massachusetts

Posted

LeadingAge Massachusetts honored Hebrew SeniorLife’s NewBridge on the Charles Security and EMS Team, including Brian Hutton of Seekonk, with its Outstanding Team Award, presented at the statewide LeadingAge Massachusetts Annual Achievement Awards event earlier this month.

The security team is “one of the main reasons that NewBridge on the Charles is the community that it is”, said Matthew Hollingshead, executive director of NewBridge on the Charles. Their duties include emergency medical services, fire suppression, access control and emergency, but frequently extend to doing whatever it takes to help residents live their best lives. This includes the creation of package and meal delivery programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This team is what makes NewBridge a cruise ship,” said Hollingshead. “Our security team takes services beyond and each individual is treated as the most important person in the community. ‘No’ is not in the team's vocabulary, and everyone chips in to make it incredible for all.”

Kim Brooks, Hebrew SeniorLife’s Chief Operating Officer for Senior Living, and Hollingshead presented the award to the members of the team who attended the event.
