Fall River, MA – The South Coast Community Chorale (SCCC) will be hosting an open enrollment period on Wednesdays, February 2nd, 9th, and 16th, from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm at St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave, Somerset, MA.

SCCC will be preparing for their 2022 Spring Concert that will feature Schubert’s Mass in G. Other selections include a medley of your favorite Elton John songs from the 2019 film Rocketman; the 1984 classic, “The Never Ending Story”, also featured in the Netflix series Stranger Things; current hits “What About Us” by Pink, and “Some Nights” by Fun; selections from the musical Show Boat; and more. We invite you to come and sing with us. Bring a friend!

The chorale has also enhanced its COVID protocols: All current and new singers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and show proof of vaccination and booster if eligible prior to attending rehearsal; the rehearsal space will be socially distanced to allow for more space between singers; and all chorale singers, and others in the rehearsal space, must wear a mask at all times until further notice. The SCCC Board of Directors is monitoring the broader COVID situation and will revisit these policies at its monthly meeting in mid-February. We appreciate your understanding!

Singing with SCCC is a great opportunity to experience group singing and all of its benefits, gain exposure in the community, and make connections with other singers. There are no auditions to join SCCC. The only requirements are that you love to sing, have the ability to match pitch and blend with other choristers, attend rehearsals, pay reasonable dues, and purchase music.

Directed by Frank Wilhelm, the South Coast Community Chorale is a group of singers based out of Fall River, Massachusetts. Members come from Fall River and nearby communities including Somerset, Swansea, Dighton, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Westport, Dartmouth, New Bedford, Taunton, Raynham, and Middleboro. The group performs concerts each May and December for their spring and winter concert seasons. Past performances have included venues in Fall River, New Bedford, Westport, Taunton, and Swansea. In addition to their regular concert seasons, the Chorale also performs at community events and each year awards a scholarship to an area student who plans to pursue a career in the music field.
