Robert A. Araujo

Robert A. Araujo 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Judith F. Araujo.

Born in Esmond, RI, he was the son of the late Antonio and Louise (Rebello) Araujo.
Mr. Araujo was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. He was an Insurance Agent for John Hancock Insurance Company for over 40 years before retiring in 1992 at the age of 60. He was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Seekonk Council 5108. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, a member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, a recipient of the Catholic Marion Medal Award and a Eucharistic Minister. Mr. Araujo was an avid camper who loved traveling the country with his wife Judith.

He leaves four sons, Anthony Araujo and his wife Diane, Thomas Araujo and his wife Denise, David Araujo and his wife Susan and Paul Araujo and his wife Susan VanDam, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 7:45 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Coyle Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be held in Seekonk Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7.
