Kids Summer Learning

These classes will take place at Somerset Berkley Regional High School and welcome all area kids.

The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Engineering Skills I, taught by Mr. Joseph Ramos of SBRHS, the week of July 12-16 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Does your child have an engineer inside them? Do they want to have some fun this summer and find out? This summer, students will learn to use several hand and power tools and will be trained to cut, drill, and shape a variety of materials like wood, foam board, plastics and sheet metal. The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Engineering Skills II, taught by Mr. Joseph Ramos of SBRHS, the week of July 26-30 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Students enrolled in this class will be using the skills learned in Engineering Skills I to build a fun Engineering project to be taken home. Students will be able to pick their own project topic from the following topics: structural, aerospace, mechanical and energy products. The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Creative Writing, taught by Mrs. Lauren Farinha of Joseph Case Junior High School, the week of July 26 - July 30. In this class, students' imaginations will be enhanced while writing their very own creations. They will be able to make up fictional stories, write through zany writing prompts, and create their own ending to a favorite fairy tale.
