John Spencer

Posted

John Spencer, 62, of Key West, Florida and formerly of Seekonk, Massachusetts, passed away on September 21, 2021, in Key West, Florida. John was born November 15, 1958 in Queens, New York, and spent his childhood in Seekonk, Massachusetts, and then moved to The Florida Keys at Age 18. He lived life to its fullest, and no one ever had to ask, "Is John here?" He was always larger than life and had a presence that was hard to ignore. He had an affinity for all things in nature, but especially the ocean and all animals. His joy was being out on the ocean, boat size did not matter. John spent most of his career building homes in South Florida. He loved his two dogs, Buster and Elvis, and wherever he is now, we hope he is with them!

John was the son of the late Eric W. and Eleanor (Bevilacqua) Spencer. He is survived by his siblings: Jo-Anne Snape (David) of Seekonk, Massachusetts; David Spencer (Lisa) of Seekonk, Massachusetts; and Gina Spencer, of Attleboro, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his nephew, nieces, and great nephew: Sam Spencer of Somerville, Massachusetts; Julia Spencer and her son, Jack, of Seekonk, Massachusetts; Rachel Spencer (Dimitar Hristozov) of Montreal, Quebec; and Anna Spencer (Victor Simoncello) of Montreal, Quebec. Additionally, he had so many good friends that were like family, for which he was so grateful for their love and support.
