Jaime S. Pires

Jaime S. Pires, 62, of Seekonk, passed away on Monday, July 11,2022 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Fatima (Bulhao) Pires, they were married for over 40 years.

Jaime was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Alfredo Pires and Conceicao (Arruda) Pires.

Jaime was a Mason for over 38 years, working for the Lighthouse Masonry and previously worked at Acor Masonry.

Mr. Pires has lived in Seekonk for over 22 years, coming from East Providence.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church. He was a member of the P.A.A.C., he enjoyed gardening and yard work, always making sure his yard was well maintained.

Jaime enjoyed traveling and social gatherings with family and friends.

Besides his wife, Mr. Pires is survived by his sons, Derik Pires and his wife Kali Pires of East Providence, Jeffrey Pires and his wife Katarina Pires of Seekonk, MA.

He was the brother of Luis Pires and his wife Maria Pires of East Providence, Jose Pires and his partner Carmo Melo of East Providence, and Carlos Pires and his wife Fatima Pires of Sao Miguel and many nieces and nephews.

Jaime was the “Vovo” to his best friends Lillyannah Pires and Milaniah Pires.

His funeral will be held Saturday, July 16,2022 at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Francis Xavier Church.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
