David Allen Foley

David Allen Foley, a Navy veteran, passed away at his home in Seekonk at the age of 81 on 01/27/2022 with his loving wife of 31 years, Beverly (Lund) Foley by his side.  He was the adopted son of William and Katharine (Roat) Foley and was born in Ashton, PA.  He was the final survivor of his biological brothers George, Erwin, Charles, Robert and Joseph Engel and sister Dorothy (Engel) VanAlstyn and step-brothers Earl, John and Sam McDonald.

He was a Mechanical Engineer who designed and built precious metals plating lines.

He also was the former owner of Dave's True Value Hardware Store on Winthrop Street in Rehoboth during the 1980s.  Dave was also an EMT and member of the Rehoboth Rescue Squad.  He was a master Diver and Capt. of the Dive Team and training officer.  He was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1 in Rehoboth.

Dave & Bev enjoyed many cruises to Europe and the Mediterranean, Africa, Brazil, Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama Canal, Hawaii and Alaska.  And camping in their RV around the country.

Dave was a Round Dance cuer and he and Bev were also dance instructors.

His hobbies included woodworking and making furniture, model building and HO gauge trains.

he is survived by his son Sean and wife Natalie in Alabama; Step-son James Ravenscraft and wife Tara in New Hampshire;  brother-in-law William Lund in Vermont; nine grand-children and two great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews.

His ashes will be scattered by the family at a later date.
