Bonnie (Laird) Britland, 76, of Seekonk, MA, died Monday, January 22, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late H. Glenn Britland. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late James and Barbara (Holden) Laird, she had lived in Seekonk for the past thirty-eight years.

Mrs. Britland worked as a registered nurse at Rhode Island Hospital in the Neurology, and Dermatology departments, and retired as Head Nurse of the Trauma Unit. She was a graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing and University of Rhode Island continuing studies. She also worked as a nurse at Brown University in her younger years, and was past president of the Rhode Island Hospital Guild.

Bonnie was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church, Seekonk, serving on the executive board, and volunteering at the church, assisting with the book club, and grief support group. She loved spending time with family, going out to eat or visiting Plymouth or Cape Cod. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Cassidy-lyn, creating cherished memories playing games or simply talking.

She is survived by her loving children, her son, David Britland, and his wife Julie, of Pawtucket; daughter, Tara-lyn Flanagan, and her husband Timothy, of Pawtucket; her sister, Barbara Plante of Pawtucket; her brother, James W. Laird of Cumberland; two granddaughters, Cassidy-lyn Flanagan and Katana Buckley and step-granddaughter Melanie George, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Her funeral will be celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am in Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Avenue, Seekonk with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited, and may attend visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Her burial will be private.
