Born in Attleboro, MA on April 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. Field and the late Florence M. (Gould) Field. She was a lifelong resident of the Rehoboth community, and a 1945 graduate of the former Dighton High School.

Her favorite pastimes included taking day trips and traveling to places such as Maryland, Florida, California, and Hawaii.

In earlier years, as a dog breeder she bred beagles, dachshunds, and cocker spaniels. She was a lifelong animal lover having had numerous cats and dogs over the years and had her first horse at the age of 5. Her love for horses grew and she and her husband were members of a horse club for many years.

Her family recalls with fondness her ability to remember every special occasion such as anniversaries and birthdays of her large extended family. She was an ardent bowler and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox whom she enjoyed watching on television. Mrs. Rascher was a member of the former Young Marines of Taunton organization and served as the secretary for 12 years.

She leaves a son: Jeffrey R. Rascher of Rehoboth; her "loving daughter", Michele Medeiros of East Taunton; a granddaughter: Sherrye Normandin of Cumberland, RI; three great grandchildren: Devin Sullivan, Autumn Sullivan and Tessa Normandin, all of Cumberland, RI; a great-great granddaughter: Eliana Pacheco of Cumberland, RI; five generations of nieces and nephews including: Madelyn R. (Connors) Young of Plainville, wife of the late Bruce Young. She also leaves members of the Medeiros family and Thomas Harrison of Rehoboth. She was the aunt of the late Ronald Young and was the sister of the late Melvin Field, Thelma Witherell and Floyd Field.
