Rehoboth Town Hall to Open January 4th

Following months of renovations, the new Rehoboth Town Hall at 340 Anawan Street will be open for business on January 4.

The Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Board of Assessors and the Planning and Conservation offices will be located on the first floor. The Selectmen and Town Administrator’s office will be located on the building’s second floor.

The land and building at 340 Anawan Street was purchased for $995,000 after voters approved a warrant article at the May Town Meeting.

 “This week, town office employees are working diligently to migrate operations from the old building to the new,” Selectman Michael Deignan wrote on Facebook on December 28.

Deignan thanked the town hall employees for transferring operations from the facility at Peck Street to the new location.

“I would also like to thank Earl Dias for the awesome job he did installing the new flooring, Full Scope Contractors for some of the minor interior modifications made to help enhance the residents' visits to the building, and of course Mike Costello and the facilities staff for their work in the building as well,” Deignan added. “And most important, thank you to all the Rehoboth residents who came to Town Meeting and cared enough to support this project, a new Town Hall everyone can be proud of, with no tax increase for the residents.”
