Rehoboth K-8 Withdrawal

Posted

The petition to withdraw from Rehoboth K-8 will be on the October 2021 Town Meeting Warrant. We will be presenting information and articles in the Reporter and the internet soon. We appreciate your concerns about the best education for our students that we can provide. By withdrawing we will form a standalone K-8 system. No outside control by another town or DESE, [the department of elementary and secondary education.]

A committee formed by our Board of Selectmen to help find answers about the process meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month 6:30 at Goff Hall Children’s Library down stairs. These are open meetings to the public.

We would like people to have as much information as possible so that we can help our children’s future.

Please attend our October Town Meeting to vote YES for Withdrawal. We have to attend Town Meeting to Vote.

The Town Meeting date has not been set as of this date. As soon as the Board of Selectman determine the date they will post it and we will receive the Town Warrant.

Thanks James Crandall
