News from the Rehoboth Food Pantry!

Posted

Happy Spring!!!

It’s hard to believe it is already Spring - and just as hard to believe that we just passed the 1 year mark of the Covid Pandemic. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and are looking forward to warmer days!

The generosity of our town - neighbors and businesses alike - continues to astound us! We have been able to keep the Pantry stocked, and maintained our emergency fuel fund in order to keep our neighbors warm and fed through these difficult and unprecedented times - and it is all because of YOU! Food and monetary donations from residents and businesses in our town are what have allowed us to continue providing confidential food and heating support for those in need. We have had a number of people asking if we could facilitate online donations. We are happy to announce our website, https://rehobothfoodpantryma.org/,  now has a PayPal donate link at the bottom of the page, making it extremely convenient!

To our regular volunteers who shop, stock the shelves, and distribute food - you are so very special to us, and we are so grateful for all that you do!

Our drop off locations Munroe Feed and Supply, Land-Tek, and The Blanding Library continue to provide convenient spots for neighbors to drop off food and other necessities. The donations keep rolling in, and we are most grateful for allowing folks to continue to drop off, as well as those donating!

Along with food and monetary donations, we have many residents asking if they can volunteer to help, and though we haven't reached out to many volunteers due to the pandemic, as vaccinations become more widespread, and the warmer weather arrives, we will definitely be reaching out to those that have asked how they could help! We also have board member openings available for those who want to assist in other ways. Please call us at 508-493-1922 or email us at rfoodpantry@gmail.com  if you are interested. For those that already indicated an interest, we do maintain volunteer lists, but you are welcome to reach out again if you prefer!

If you are reading this, and are in need, whether just a difficult week or continued support - please remember - you just need to reach out and we will help in any way that we can!
