Please join the members of DeBlois Gallery as we celebrate 40 years of providing art exhibits to the community of Newport County and beyond! Our non-profit cooperative of 20 artists will share a variety of new work, including 2D prints, oil, acrylic, and collage as well as 3D sculpture in ceramics, cast paper, and assemblage.
How does a non-profit gallery stay open for 40 continuous years? Locally, there is no one else to ask but DeBlois Gallery, which made its start in Newport and is now next door in Middletown near 1st Beach, continuing, in its 41 st year, to feature the work of Aquidneck Island and Southern New England artists.
The continued strength of the gallery comes from the dedication of its members: a cooperative of 10 to 18 artists who keeps the place afloat with dues or a small commission from their sales, and non-profit
status. This status has been fulfilled with poetry, music sessions, and readings for the public. The gallery sponsors non-juried open shows yearly and themed shows on timely subjects. It is also host to the annual Aquidneck Island High School Art Show, featuring work by island high school art students.
Come celebrate with us, and THANK YOU, friends of the gallery!
