David Albert Pitassi

David Albert Pitassi, 80, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2022. He was born on May 15, 1941 to Concetta Palmisciano and Albert Pitassi. After the passing of his father, he was raised by his Stepfather, Daniel Agresti.

He grew up in East Providence, and was class President East Providence High School class of 1959. He also graduated from Brown University and earned his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Michigan State. He worked for Raytheon for many years and eventually developed Process Automation for the remainder of his career. David married Sandra Ribeiro in September 1964 and they were happily married for 57 years. He was highly involved in his community as the Seekonk Tax assessor and was a long time member of the Lions Club, often organizing events including the annual clam boil. Additionally, David attended church on Tuesday evenings for perpetual Adoration for Mount Carmel church in Seekonk, MA. More recently, he was a member of the Moose Lodge in Florida. He was a talented musician and an avid collector of stamps as well as 45 records. David enjoyed Westport beach where he spent an abundant of summers enjoying the sun, outdoors and entertaining family and friends. David was notorious for his joke telling and always kept all in laughter.

David is survived by his spouse, Sandi of Seekonk MA, his son Mark (Jennifer) and grandchildren Matthew, Noah and Jacob of Mt Pleasant SC and his daughter in law Karen Pitassi and grandchild Zachary of Whippany NJ. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Stephen Pitassi, and his son, Erik Pitassi.

His Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk.
