Bristol County Chorus Christmas Concert

Posted

The Bristol County Chorus will present their 40th annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec 5 at St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI, at 3:00 PM. The Chorus, accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra, will be conducted by Director of Music Nicholas Rocha. This year's offering, A Wreath of Carols, is a celebration of holiday memories - the ones we already cherish, and the ones we get to make anew each year. This concert will be in honor of the chorus's founder, Joan Roth, whose inspiration has provided the East Bay Community with many hours of beautiful music.

Mr. Rocha begins his fourth year as director, while also serving as Director of Music for St. Michael's Episcopal Church, and as artistic director for the Oure Pleasure Singers of Attleboro, MA. He has also been the accompanist for the Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra (RICCO) since 2017. Mr. Rocha is delighted to be premiering his original setting of the O magnum mysterium, which he wrote for the chorus last year.

Due to the realities of COVID, the chorus is requesting that the audience be masked for the event. Tickets are $15.00 in advance, and $20.00 at the door, and are available locally at the George Hail Library in Warren, at Paper Packaging and Panache in Bristol and online through http://bccwreathofcarols.brownpapertickets.com.  Be sure to follow and check the group's Facebook page for additional information regarding tickets www.facebook.com/bristolcountychorus .
