Tammy (Thetonia) Neter, 64, of Pinellas County, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Marilyn (Russell) Thetonia of East Providence and the late Manuel Thetonia. She is survived by her loving daughter, Victoria "Tory" (Neter) Arenberg and her husband Egon and her amazing grandchildren, Aiya and Koah of Belleair Bluffs, Florida. She also leaves her caring brother Brian Thetonia of East Providence. Tammy was living with her devoted brother J. Russell Thetonia in Siesta Key, Florida for the past six years. Tammy was paralyzed from the neck down due to the effects of ALS and Russell was her full-time caregiver 24-7. Her mental health was astounding. The love she showered on family and friends was an inspiration to the people who loved her.
Tammy was a graduate of St. Mary Academy, Bay View and also Franklin Pierce College. After graduation Tammy joined her brother Russell in Bermuda. She stayed in Bermuda working at the US Naval Air Station as manager of "The Officers Club" in St. Davids while living in St. Georges. Tammy began her teaching career at Mrs. Buford School in Wimbledon Village, London, England. After returning to the United States, she taught in the East Providence School System until she moved to Cape Cod and taught in the Harwich, Yarmouth and Dennis School Systems.
Tammy will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. If love could have saved Tammy she could have lived forever.
