Jeanne L. “Jan” (Paquet) Denham, 99, of Terrace Ave, Riverside, died peacefully on October 15, 2024 at Waterview Villa Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, East Providence. She was the beloved wife to the late Robert E. Denham Jr. They were happily married for 69 years.
Born in Colchester, VT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. And Harriett (Prindle) Paquet.
Jan was a graduate of East Providence High School class of 1944.
Mrs. Denham worked as a food processor at the former Lovett Beef for 15 years before retiring.
Jan was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the church’s Forever Young Club. She was a devoted Red Sox and NE Patriots fan and never missed a game.
Jan was loved and adored by anyone that was lucky enough to cross paths with her. She loved to cook and would have the family over every Sunday for family dinner. Her family was what she was most proud of.
She is survived by her children, Robert E. Denham III, Marcia (Carl) Anderson and Theresa (Ted) Sanford, all of Riverside, Kathleen Denham of North Attleboro, Mary (Mark) Wilcox of Seekonk, JoAnne Denham of Johnston, and Gale (Al) Martin of Providence. She also leaves behind 13 “favorite” grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Marcy Paquet, Joseph Paquet Jr., Frank Paquet, Meryl Durante, David Paquet, Marge Hathaway and Ruth Fontes.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to the nursing home staff for the kindness, loving care and compassion showed to Jan. It will never be forgotten.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday October 23, 2024 from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:15 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Ave, Riverside at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
Visiting hours are Tuesday October 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home.
