James Allen Munro, III, 56, known affectionately to all as Jimmy, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Waterview Villa in East Providence, Rhode Island. Born on August 7, 1968, in Providence, Rhode Island, Jimmy's warmth and vivacious spirit were evident from his earliest days.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Crowley) Munro, with whom he shared over 31 years of unwavering love and companionship. A devoted family man, he was the cherished son of James A. Munro, Jr. and Nancy (Bullock) Munro of Riverside. His legacy of kindness and laughter lives on through his children, James A. Munro, IV of Riverside, and Alexis Munro, also of Riverside. Jimmy was a caring brother to Janet Vadakkumcherry and her husband John of San Diego, California, as well as Jeanne Ladner and her husband Timothy of Danville, Pennsylvania.
A proud graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1986, Jimmy's work ethic and dedication were hallmarks of his character. For over 31 years, he served as a warehouse employee supervisor at Nepco Products Company of East Providence, where his leadership and dependability were greatly valued by colleagues and management alike.
Jimmy's passion for life extended beyond his work and family. He was an avid sports enthusiast, particularly when it came to baseball. His knowledge of player statistics and game strategies was unparalleled, making him the go-to source for baseball trivia among friends and family. NASCAR races were another of Jimmy's favorite pastimes, and he could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers on race days.
In addition to his love for sports, Jimmy was an avid collector of video games and cards. His extensive collections were a testament to his meticulous nature and his ability to find joy in the details. His home was a treasure trove of memories and milestones, each piece carefully chosen and lovingly displayed.
Those who knew Jimmy will remember him as a loving, funny, and selfless individual. His infectious laughter and self-deprecating humor brought light to every room he entered. Jimmy's selflessness was evident in every aspect of his life, always putting the needs of others before his own. His unwavering support and encouragement made him a pillar of strength for his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours on Saturday, January 11,2025 from 10:00am – 1:00pm in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. With a prayer service at 12:30pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
