Hennessey School News

Posted

First and foremost, we would like to give a huge SHOUT OUT to the Hennessey Community, families, students and staff for their participation in SurveyWorks this year! We are leading in the state for our participation with 100% participation for staff and students and 85% participation from our dedicated families. We value your feedback and appreciate your partnership in making our school the best it can be each day!

March was a busy month for school spirit and Reading Week activities at Hennessey School! We had a week of fun with engaging reading activities with a focus around Friendship! Meziah, a kindergarten student, knows that reading is important. He says, "you have to read a lot so you can get better at reading." His favorite books are Brown Bear Brown Bear, What Do You See and Pete the Cat because he likes animals. Thank you to all of our guest readers who came to share a story and read to our heroes and our supportive PTA for your contributions to make Reading Week a success. We appreciate you! #ReadingWeek #ThankYou

March was also a busy month of spirit days at Hennessey and April will be just as busy! Kindergarten student, Sayde, enjoys school spirit days. Her favorite one this year was when students could “dress up as what we wanted to be when you grow up.” Sayde wants to be a gymnastics teacher, and wants to “teach students how to do side to side cartwheels.” She said that it was hard at first but she kept trying and now she can do it! Way to go, Sayde! April’s spirit days will be Blue Day for Autism Awareness, Decades Day and Mismatch Day. It is going to be a “spirited” April at Hennessey. #HennesseyLovesASpiritDay

We continue to strive to do our part as Feinstein Junior Scholars to make this world a better place. We do have a community closet to support our community members in need as well as a Little Library located in the front of our school that our students and community members can use to access books. Come and visit our Little Library! #FeinsteinJuniorScholars #ReadersAreLeaders

Looking forward to learning about our April core values of Acceptance and Empathy. As always, our Hennessey Heroes know the importance of always being SAFE, RESPECTFUL and PROUD! #HennesseyRising #CoreValuesTeaching
