Hennessey Elementary School News
Hennessey Elementary is focusing on our core value of gratitude in November! We are thankful for so many things this year, especially our Hennessey Heroes who go above and beyond each day to be their best! This is shown in our RICAS scores that were just released. Our Heroes improved proficiency by 8.5% in ELA and 11.2% in Mathematics!
We are thankful for all the students and families who showed their Hero pride for our spirit days. Our classrooms and halls are overflowing with school spirit on days like Hero Day, Unity Day, and Pink Out Day to support breast cancer awareness. We are also thankful for the families and staff who donated socks to our SOCKtober drive. We collected over 100 pairs of socks for The Hope & Faith Drive!
We are also thankful for our partnerships with all our community members who enhance our heroes' educational experience every day. Without the Boys and Girls Club of East Providence, our HEZ family navigator, Naomi Zelter, Carl Sweeney of the Hope and Faith Organization, and our dedicated Parent Teacher Association we would not be able to do what we do for our students.
Hennessey students and staff continue to work hard each day and continue to show the importance of our core values of being safe, respectful, and proud!
