Eva Paolo-Leaf age 96, died peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home.

Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Eva (Rourke) and the late Joseph M. Oliver. She later moved to Seekonk, Massachusetts then returned to East Providence where she lived most of her life, moving to Barrington, RI, 11 years ago.

She was married to the late John Paolo for 44 years and they raised two daughters together. She remarried the late Stanley Leaf whom she was married to for 18 years.

Eva enjoyed an active social life with many friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family, walking, women’s fashion, coffee with the DD ladies, BINGO, and outdoor concerts in the park.

She worked for Cherry & Webb for many years in the Shipping Dept. of their warehouse.

She was a parishioner of St. Martha’s Church.

Eva is survived by her daughters, Donna J. Kornmiller (Ronald) of Millsboro, DE and Sandra L. Woodward of Barrington, RI. Grandsons Brian Kornmiller of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Jack Woodward (Jess Pietersen) of Warren, RI. Granddaughter Faith Baum (Andrew), great grandchildren Edward and Cora all of Warren, RI, many nieces and nephews, and close friend Elena Suarez. She is also survived by multiple generations of the Leaf family.

Eva was predeceased by sister Dorothy Sears, her twin brother Joseph Oliver, brother Jack Oliver, son-in-law Tim Woodward, and long-time dear friend Ruby Conti.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Martha's Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
