EP Veteran's Coffee Hour

Local Veterans are invited discuss available benefits & more

The East Providence City Council Veterans Advisory Committee invites area Veterans & families to attend an informational 'Coffee Hour' on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event at the Weaver Library will be from 9 to 11am.

"Come join your fellow Veterans for coffee, pastries, and good company. Various groups will be on hand to answer questions regarding various benefits available to Veterans. All are welcome to attend," said Ward Four City Councilman Rick Lawson.

The Veterans Advisory Committee was created to advise on matters that include promoting Veterans rights, arranging for appropriate ceremonies honoring Veterans on holidays or otherwise, helping unify Veterans groups, keeping the City Council informed of problems and/or issues affecting Veterans, and supporting the needs of Veterans.

Council appointed members of the Veteran's Commission are: Anthony Ballirano, Richard A Ferreira, Henry Caparco, Brian Pearson and William E McMahon. Councilman Lawson is the council liaison to the committee.
