Dorothea M. (Elbert) Wolfsberger, 83, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Bedard. Born in Meschard, Bavaria, Germany, Dorothea was a daughter of the late Karl and Elizabeth Elbert.
Dorothea moved to the United States in 1963 and went on to work for many years as a teacher working with handicapped children. She was a longtime member of the German American Cultural Society in Pawtucket and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothea leaves four children, Karl Wolfsberger and his wife, Susan of North Attleboro, Roland Wolfsberger and his wife, Denise, Mike Baillargeon and his wife, Kim, and Normand Towndrow and his wife, Kelly, all of Woonsocket; an adopted daughter, Patty Allen of Rumford, three grandchildren, Vanessa, Meghan, and Dakota; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemarie Resel in Germany and two half-sisters, Rita and Wilthuer.
She was the mother of the late Richard Baillargeon, grandmother of the late Karlheinz Rouillier and the sister of the late Irmgard Uhlein.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend VISITATION on Friday, April 11th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
