Virginia M. Sweetland, 97, of Rumford, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 20222 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Richard G. Sweetland.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Enrico and Marie (Rocchio) Pandolfini. Mrs. Sweetland was a secretary for several different companies before she retired. She was a faithful communicant of St. Margaret's Church.

She leaves two children, Susan Murray of Seekonk and Richard G. Sweetland of West Warwick, two brothers, Henry and Thomas Pandolfini, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Gary T. Sweetland and sister of the late Peter Pandolfini.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret's Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford.
