Russell D. Lema, 81, of East Providence, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at East Gate Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the beloved husband of JoAnn (Anella) Lema to whom he was married for 57 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Irene (Perry) Lema.
Mr. Lema was a master welder and worked for General Dynamics until he retired. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Richard Lema, and Michael Lema both of East Providence, one daughter, Karen Lema of Pawtucket, one sister, Sheila M. Lema, one grandson, Michael Lema, Jr. and his fiance Angelica and three great-grandchildren, Michael Lema, III, Chase Lema and Ryan Lema.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
